Lar,

CV-483/URA-17 is part of AN/URA-17. Complete set comprises two CV-483, a
cabinet to hold both, cables and a manual, NAVSHIPS 94028.

I have one original of the manual but have not scanned it for reprint. If
you can't turn one up, I can put it into the que to do. FYI, it was later
renumbered NAVSHIPS 0967-034-9010 and then NAVSHIPS 0967-LP-034-9010. It's hard to
be certain from the clue in one of the temporary changes but it may have been
completely reprinted under the latter number in 1971.

But to answer your question, like most of the Navy shipboard converters, it
keyed an external loop. No loop supply in the converter. The loop current was
also set by an external resistor (usually in a patch box or panel). No
current adjustment means in the converter, just a switch.
