Duncan,

In most cases, No to both questions. Unless you are calling in from a
blocked IP address. Many TM's on the site (and not always with any logical
explanation) are available only if you have log-in priveleges. But none of the TT-4
manuals fall into that category.

Where Roy erred was in spending all of the time to determine and then in
listing all of the detailed URL's. All you really need to know is:

https://www.logsa.army.mil/etms/find_etm.cfm And the TM number or equipment
nomenclature. Put the URL into your Favorites under TM Sources, LOGSA.

Paste that into your browser and click GO. Accept the certificate dialog
that will probably come up and you will get the search screen on the LOGSA site
(except sometime on weekends). From there, you can enter 11-5815-206 into the
Pub Number field or enter TT-4 into the Pub Title Text field. Both will bring
up the same four TM numbers. Click on one (presumably if you want all of
them, the first one). Wait until it has finished downloading. Then click on the
icon at the top left of the screen that looks like a 3-1/2" floppy disk (you
do rememember what those looked like I trust?). Select where you want to save
it (it's a .pdf) and I strongly recommend that you change the file name to
the TM number as the file names (usually six-digit numbers) used on LOGSA mean
nothing to anyone I know) and click Save.

Then click the Back icon and get the next one. Etc.

And if anyone needs hard copy of anything on LOGSA that is accessible without
login privileges but lacks the capability to print it, contact me. I can
print up to 11 x 17 or A3 double sided locally and have a commercial outfit
available that can print up to about 24 x 40. Not free, of course, but cheaper
than Kinkos.
