Don es all the group,
Now, I maybe have been stuck in my ways for many years, cause of the USN
background, but yes, I follow "unshift on space" If I have same
available. I also use the pretty
familiar pattern of CR CR LF LTRS as my standard EOL character.
OPNOTE: because I am a former "crippie" I tend to kind of use the
"Ltrs" key as a place holder when I am using any kind of mechanical
TTY, because for those who have been "in the know" some of the older
crypto units would require some kind of input to keep sync... and the
usual practice was to develop this rather rythmic "LTRS" input when
doing any keyboard sending..I also have a really bad habit of doing my
little "LTRS/FIGS/LTRS" thing, just as kind of a personal habit, since I
spent a LOT of time using orderwires, and everyone developed their own
personal rythym and sending style, kinda like one's "fist" on CW..
my apologies for those who are punching tape, but old habits are really
hard to break.. --HI-- I don't do this when using a glass terminal,
because, unfortunately, there just ain't any "Ltrs" "Figs" "CR" or "LF"
on glass terminals.....
