Back several years ago I took charge of a bunch of RTTY tapes from  
the great state of New Jersey. The plan was to convert them to  
digital form and put them up on the web site. At the time I was in  
Connecticut and *thought* I had the time for the project.

These days I live in Carlisle, PA and after two years here I *know* I  
don't have the spare time for the project. I would guess that maybe  
in five years it might happen, but probably not.  The tapes are in  
good shape at this point. The pipe break last Sunday morning missed  
them all, but it did get me thinking ....

I have had several inquiries over the years about the tapes. I'm not  
sure if the guys who asked are still interested or not. I would like  
to pass the collection on intact to somebody who would be willing to  
make them available by one means or the other.

It took several trips to haul all of them around. My guess is that we  
are talking about maybe two trips with a full sized van. One full of  
stuff and probably overflow into the second.

Shipping is probably out of the question unless somebody has a *lot*  
of cash. They would all need to be re-boxed before they went to UPS.  
I'm not in a position to subsidize that kind of thing.

The tapes are free to who ever gets them. I would prefer to get them  
moved before summer if possible.

If we need to move this discussion off the list that's fine with me,  
just let me know.
