Kerosene is best for cleaning. WD-40 will gum up when it gets hot.
After you clean it you must use a different lubricant.
It should work fine with a regular 60 mil loop without all of the
TELEX junque.

I'm still trying to loosen up some stuck parts. WD-40 is doing a
good job penetrating.
