Hey Peter;

Can you e-mail me the connection points that you used?

I have a Tektronix 465B that I would like to connect to
the Dovetron.

Question: Have you ever used/seen the pattern from a
tuned-circuit T.U. connected to an "O" scope?

The reason I'm asking is because all my T.U.s have used
the standard tank circuits. The scope shows the standard
picture that everyone has come to know, which "tilts" when
you are off frequency.

What I'm wondering is, since the Dovetron is using variable
filters, what does the display look like?

Here's the question/concern:

o The AFSK tones are locked in at 2125 and 2295.

o The MARK and SPACE tuning knobs are variable.

The problem I imagine is that:

Unless you put the unit into self-test where you run
the 2125/2295 tones into it and adjust the MARK and SPACE
knobs accordingly, then how would you know if you are
zero-beat with the received signal when you are making a QSO?

regards,
W6ESE - tony
