If memory serves correct - Irv Hoff had published a small article in the
RTTY JOURNAL using two 88 mh toriods plus resonating caps and a 741 op amp
to achieve nice straight mark and space lines on a scope.  Still have that
system in use here-

That post-processes the channel signals for a pretty display, but its not
showing you what the TU is actually doing. Looking at the TU's filters
without anything between them & the scope better shows you what is going on
with the signals. Its not as pretty but I think it is more informative.
Just my 2 cents from when I was actively on RTTY.
