thanks to all you guys for the help and responses...  I have printed the 
posts that gave informative information.  I will begin to try the 
suggestions, one at a time.  I did try a test posting over the weekend, 
and saw that the blank page got through.
 
What is cornfusing is that some of us using AOL....  are able to post 
OK, and others (Marv Collins kfiam640 at aol.com <mailto:kfiam640 at aol.com>, 
and myself KC0NNC at aol.com <mailto:KC0NNC at aol.com> are not.
 
I agree it is advertising crap that AOL is attaching or imbedding on the 
very few last lines of the page, several inches or line count below our 
official "signature block"  so hopefully there will be a way to prevent 
them from doing this.
 
I and I believe both Marv and myself are using AOL 9.0 screen handlers.  
perhaps the  other guys that are getting through are using some other 
such as  previous numbered versions   e.g. 4.0  6.0, 7.0, 8.0 etc
 
I agree with all the comments, yes, AOL should conform to standards, and 
not try and be a "standards maker"  seems their drubbing in the stock 
market may begin to create believers out of them.
 
If you see postings from me over the next few days , they are tests to 
see if the "mailer daemon" responds, or if the attempted post actually 
gets through.  As previously mentioned -one blank page got through- over 
the weekend.  I just forgot to mention it was printed in invisible 
ink... hi hi.
