Lar,
Give me a time to look for you on 7.080. Maybe we can have a M28 to M28
QSO! I've been on 40M recently and there are stations on-the-air
every night, Unfortunately, none are using "heavy metal".

I signed onto the mil radio groups 7.180 USB last nite. QRM and fading
was
severe so I just stayed a few minutes. WOW, it's great to know there's
a
place to use these rigs.
I tried to use 7.080 last nite too. No good. I got bollexed up with
commands on the 74B. That damn thing will not take pre recorded
messages in
the Baudot mode! You have to use the ICT or Intelligent Communications
Terminal mode to do the pre-planned text and that's only in ASCII.
So, tonite, I think I'll use the GRC-106A for the TTY on 7.080 and I
can use
the paper tape on the Model 28ASR. Just won't have that 1 KW. I have to
put up a 40 meter dipole too...using the 80 meter doesn't seem to be
working
out so well.
