   There are 'horror stories' criculating of long-time eBay dealers 
suddenly finding themselves in deep, deep doo-doo with the Homeland 
Security folks over sales of old, and seemingly innocuous hardware to 
overseas clients.  Tubes too...  I hear of one dealer fined in the six 
figures for selling rather common transmitting tubes.  When I get actual 
facts, I'll relate them, but right now there's enough of a 'buzz' to make 
me think that *something's * going on. If you check a lot of your favorite 
eBay dealers, you'll see many of them no longer offer "ships to 
Worldwide".


   I for one have made the unhappy and possibly expensive decision to 
restrict my eBay boatanchor and audio sales to US clients only, and for 
shipment to US addresses only.  A shame, beacuse I've built up a nice 
stock of WECO tubes that the Japanese and Hong Kong guys love to bid into 
the stratosphere.


   "Fight Terrorism" + "Save the Children" = "1984", but about 30 years 
later, and slower and wierder, than Orwell foresaw it
