Thanks to Gil for reminding us of his most excellent members-only
shared file repository. (I had never seen this nice a shared file
system before.)
Just to clarify further, what I am offering is a bit different. It
is a place to share vintage circuit schematics and other engineering
documents with the general public, to give engineering students,
hobbyists, and historians the opportunity to study wisdom of the
past. And I'm sure greenkeyers collectively have lots of wisdom to
offer!
Any published materials would need to be unencumbered by copyright,
or you have to be the copyright holder and be willing to allow the
materials to be used for non-commercial purposes. See the legal
notices at 4004.com for further details. There you will find a link
to the Creative Commons web site that describes the legal terms.
For those of you who are familiar with the GNU project or the open-
source movement, the terms are similar: "by attribution" (people
have to give you credit), "non-commercial" (they can't make money off
your work without permission), and "share alike" (they have to
license "derivative works" the exact same way).
