I speak as someone who is heavily into high end audio - but the concept of
"classic solder" is total nonsense.  You are much better going for either a
low melting point solder (36Sn, 2Ag, 62Pb) or a true eutectic composition.

Although I note that even regular solder is now much more expensive than it
used to be.
