Rick,

There essentially none of the frequencies you used 40 years ago still in
use. There are a few, though:

The Canadian weather service sends TTY and FAX weather broadcasts still:

The Canadian Forces send RTTY weather on the half hour +/- at 850
shift, 100 WPM Baudot. Try around 13.510 or 6.498 MHZ. At other
times they send FAX weather maps.

W1AW sends RTTY:

  the W1AW bulletin broadcast.
Frequencies are 3.5975, 7.095, 14.095, 18.0975, 21.0675, and
28.0675. Times are 6PM and 9PM Eastern (daylight saving or standard, as the
case may be). See www.ARRL.org for details.

And for more completeness, Ralph Mowrey just posted:

For the ham bands it probably has not changed much. The shift is usually
170 hz (you may see some at 200) and 60 wpm (45.45 baud). Usually on 20
meters from about 14.080 to 14.099 mhz.

For many audio type demodulators set your receiver to LSB and tune for a
mark tone of 2125 hz and space of 2295.

The URL just above http://www.radiomarine.org contains the following info
and lots more (click the KSM button.) These operations seem to be on
Saturdays at least. A few weeks ago I could hear the 12 mc frequency below
with a modest antenna (multi-band dipole up 12 feet), and a superb receiver
(Rhode and Schwartz EK-07) from rural Virginia.

RTTY:

8433.0
12631.0

KSM uses two modes of "RTTY": Baudot and FEC. Baudot transmissions are at
170cps shift, 45 baud. FEC transmissions are at 170cps shift, 100 baud.
...
On RTTY, KSM broadcasts marine weather and press information alternating
between the two modes listed above.

Some time ago this appeared on our list:

Latly, there is a somewhat outdated list of frequencies (July 2002) at
www.rtty.com specifically at: http://www.rtty.com/rtty_list.htm

  Happy copying.
