Hello Bill,
The designation you sent (TT-387/UG) is the component designation for
a Model 28 Keyboard.
These keyboards were used in the TT-47, TT-69, and TT-70 Teletype
Model 28 KSR machines
used by the Navy and Marine Corps.
I will send you a page from the US Navy cross reference manual in a
off-list message.
Please see if you can determine which of the above KSR models you have.
Thanks,
Don K9TTY

Hi Everybody,
I'm one of the new kids here (at age 59). I operate rtty and cw -
mostly cw and I make radios. In the 80s I was in the Navy MARS program
and eventually I got my hands on a suitable RTTY machine and TU. Then
I had to change jobs and MARS has no need for second shift workers.
They didn't give me the machine so I started looking for parts to get
it on the ham bands. Before I found them I got on RTTY with a
computer. The machine is still here.
I don't know from 15, 33, or KSR. There is a matal tag on the macchine
itself. It says:
TT 387 UG
The machine is clean under those covers. The outside has 20+years of
accumulated dirt.
I also have a home made TU for it that I used with a computer for a
while. If anybody wants this equipment please speak up. I am
relocating and it will be in the dump in a few weeks. It doesn't seem
reasonable to try to ship it. I'm in Michigan between Flint and
Lansing (about 70 miles north and west of Detroit. Its free to a good
home. Reply via email off list.
73,
Bill KU8H
