Well - I have several copies of my commercial license (since I always
post one at the transmitter of any station(s) I'm working for) - I don't
recall where I got the paper - but framed and hanging on a wall - it's
really, really difficult to tell which is the original (the original is
always on the wall in my office - next to my other licenses and
certificates). In fact one FCC guy even commented about it - because he
was wondering how I had several licenses to post at several sites...
Even he was a bit surprised to learn they were just photocopies...
(again the paper is near a perfect match for the original).

It does? Hmmm my commercial license doesn't have a picture on it... of
course it's ancient... (General Radiotelephone with RADAR endorsement -
1984 conversion of Radiotelephone 1st from 1978). When did they start
putting pictures on them?
(besides - I still carry my FCC 1st pocket card - since they are now
made of genuine unobtainium - and most people these days - even in the
industry - have never seen one).
best regards...
