Just thought to throw this out:

I (and afew others) are embarking on a Scheme to collect and archive any
and all early recordings of ham QSOs, conversations, signals, etc - that
folks may have in drawres, boxes, stacked up in closets, etc., etc.

I have the facilities and the lifelong experience to play anythng from
Edison cylinders on up - including the small 'home' type acetate and wax
discs (Recordio, etc) wires, old tapes (even damaged or dteriorating - no
problem) cassettes, anything.

I'll then convert the program to a digital format, and burn a CD/DVD for
you - and return the materials and the CD, all for free, except maybe
postage.

The archived files will then go to a compendium of legacy ham-related
audio files to be stored in a library somewhere on the Web for acess to
all.

Contact me off-list of you might have, or know of any old recordings
that somehow relate to Ham Radio or RTTY - early recording os lectures,
seminars, club meetings, what have you.

  Cheers and thanks!!

PS: I know there a several efforts underway to do this for RTTY-related
data - I'm looking more for voice records, etc...
