[GreenKeys] ST6 tuning scope circuit needed

Hello Tony and the group.

As someone commented,  yes I want to build my own.  Not because I really
want to build my own but because of the space limitations on the operating
position and since the ST6 is in the operating position then it would not
take any more room to build the scope into the ST6 cabinet with the ST6 and
that was why I was asking.  A separate oscope on the bench would take up too
much room.

I was also looking for a solid state version (except the crt itself, of
course).  I seem to remember seeing an LED version in the form of a cross
but I think I would have trouble with that as the display on the scope not
only told you when you were tuned correctly but also told me which direction
and how much I was off.

My ST6 was one of the first Hal kits and did not come with a cabinet.  I
built mine into a Tektronix cabinet extrusion so it is about and inch
thicker and abuot 3" deeper than the Hal cabinets were that came with later
ST6 kits so I could go as big as a 3" crt but would prefer the 1" (if I can
find a crt) or the 2" and someone on the list already offered 2" crt's.

I vaguely remembered a transistor amplifier rtty tuning scope in a Ham Radio
Magazine.  I seem to remember that it used a pair of 2N3439's (I think) and
at the time I seriously considered building it.  Now I wish I had.
