GE, listmembers,
A while ago, I posted regarding a front cover for a MITE. I have been
trying, rather unsuccessfully to get a replacement,
or, barring that, the source for the rivets which are used. I am now
reposting the request, since I had no reply.
The problem is, that the cover is dinged right over the local control
pushbutton sliders, causing them to stick. Yes,
I can drill the rivets out, straighten the cover, and re-rivet the whole
shebang. Problem is, I have no source for the
rivets, and I would prefer getting a front cover if someone has a
non-operational MITE which they are willing to
part out.
The following info applies:
The Teletype itself is a TT-TT299B/UG
in a CY-2977A/UG case
The pix can be seen at the following URL:

If you have a cover, know where you can obtain one, or just know of a
source for the rivets so that I can re-rivet the
cover after drilling out the old rivets and straightening/painting the
old one, let me know, on or off list.
It's good to be back on topic and away from politics ;-)
