It was mentioned a few days ago that some one who wanted to donate some TTY
equipment to the AWA Museum was turned down.
For the past few years we have been forced to have a "Zero Population
Growth" requirement due to lack of space.
I am glad to report that space is no longer a problem!!
A large building will soon be available to the museum that will at least
quadruple the space we now have. It will probably be a couple of years
before the present tenants move out completly and we can set up a new
museum in the building, but meanwhile there is storage space that we can
use immediately.
As for TTY activity at the museum, there is presently an operational model
19 in the Museum. I have also put together another display of over a dozen
different teletypewriters (including an operational AN/GRC-46 RTTY hut),
almost all operational. We also have about 2/3 of the pieces of an
AN/GRC-26A. But this display is presently in our annex, which was
originally just a warehouse for storage of the Museum's collection and not
normally open to the public.
So if you have equipment and/or documentation pertaining to any type of
communications, that you need to find a good home for, please contact
myself or the museum curator: ED Gable, K2MP, EGABLE at Rochester.rr.com.

Duncan Brown
