Hi Don:
I have quite a few typing reperfs around, but have never worked on one.
On two 35s, I cannot really see into the area where the hammer is located.
On two 28s, I can see the notched lever arm as show in your diagram, but
there are no hammers.
On another 28 typing reperf, it looks like a there is not supposed to be a
hammer, since the lever arm is flat and horizontal (not vertical like the
others). Were there some reperfs that used just a flat metal arm to strike
the ribbon?
Then I have this other 28 reperf, a brand-new still-on-plywood unit that I
got from Jay Waller, may he rest in peace. This unit looks to have the
hammer. However, I do not know how to disassemble this unit. What's involved?
