Hi Everyone,
You may have seen me send one or two messages in the past re: Teletype 43's
etc. I'm relatively new greenkeys and RTTY.
My current set up is as follows:
ICOM IC-718 HF Transceiver
Dovetron MPC1000T
Sagem TX20 Teleprinter (50, 75 and 100 baud), solid state, dot matrix circa
early 1980's.
I am yet to put together a double current loop supply to interface the
teleprinter with the EIA232 output and polar input on the Dovetron. I have a
design and a PCB lay out thanks to Ray Robinson (a fellow Australian member
of Greenkeys).
Anyway. I would like some suggestions as to how I might be able to (with out
using PC software) put together a speed converter so I can operate the Sagem
to send and receive at 45.45 bauds. I am considering designing a PIC speed
converter, which may need a small buffer when converting 50 to 45.45.
I also wouldn't mind being able to upgrade it later on so I can receive 100
baud SITOR ARQ and FEC. Obviously this wouldn't need speed conversion as I
can switch speeds on the teleprinter. However this would be a pain. I'm
rambling...If anyone knows of any thing out there that already does the
speed conversion, I would like to know. Or any other thoughts would be
appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Nick
