I agree. The FCC gave us much more on 80M Phone than
we needed or asked-for.  We definitely needed more Phone
space there, but not at the expense of the other valuable modes.
Taking Phone down to 3650 would have been just fine.

We needed more on 20M where 14100-14150 is pretty much
a wasteland that is only used by foreign Hams and also at
21100-21200.  Again, much of the decisions are made by
bureaucrats at the FCC and not much is taken from the Hams
themselves (who know best what they need) via the ARRL
acting as our national organization.

I just read the QST article on the phone band expansion of 75/80
meters. It appears the FCC is going to permit phone to below 3620
the TTY freq. I don't like that.
