[GreenKeys] M28 Ma Bell motor speed control: FAQ ??

Has anyone used the Ma Bell M28 motor speed control on their KSR or ASR ?  
Its a small green box about the size of the old Heathkit Capacitive 
Discharge units.  Has two AC sockets on one side: one marked control and the 
other marked accessory.  Any memories anyone ??
