YES Sheldon, I know.  If the man is making a mockup it should not  
make any difference.
The military dial pad looks a lot like the MF pad used by operators.   
He would just have to put different labels on.
I have never liked the pop culture that wanted to defraud the  
telephone companies.
A few actually went to prison, for what....?? A few free phone  
calls... DUMB

one minor point is that the 16 digit DTMF pad used different
tone pairs from the MF dialing used by the blueboxes, unless the
telco version was set up for the same tone pairs required by
the toll switching equipment.
