I guess this is off topic for the cw part, but it is a green keys thing.
many years ago when we lived in Hawaii, I took the keying line from the TD
on the model 19 table and used it to transmit cw. I was running a beacon at
100 w on 6 meters at the time. Instead of frequency shift it was just make
and break on a loop tape.. I wish I could remember the characters used for
the dits and dahs, but my memory is not what is used to be. I played with
the things and springs with green keys for over thirty years, but moved over
to the solid state stuff. Nothing like walking into a room with an old model
14 tapping away and the smell of oil. Model 28 stuff is nice, but the model
14 was like music to the ear.
