Hi Tony,
It uses active filters (any tones you want, and several shifts) but the
slicer
is Schmidt triggers and flip-flops. There is an optional bandpass filter
ahead of the channel filters for additional sensitivity and noise rejection.
It was designed by Engineers & Efficiency Experts of California a few
years ago, based on a design in 73 magazine called 'No More Excuses'.
I can scan the schematic and email to you. Dirt cheap and really nice.
Has outputs for tuning scope and even a constant current unit to hold the
loop at precisely 60 (or 20 or ??) mils; I get a lot fewer 'hits' if I run
the
loop at constant current and not let if fluctuate all over based on selector
mag demand. Now if I can get my HF station back up I can play with the
'greenkeys' again on the air (VHF is more like an internet connection, not
as much fun)
