Look on the ST-6 schematic for Test Point 2 as that hexagonal box with the  
number 2 in it where CR2, CR3 and C2 come together in the 
discriminator/detector  circuit.
 
I am pretty sure that U5 is OA-5 in the autostart circuit.
 
If you can't find a replacement pot, can you salvage the old one by  
soldering extension wires to the legs of the pot and then wire it to the  PCB?    It's 
a set and forget pot so you shouldn't have to  get back in there again.
