haynes wins the cigar!!   yes, the selsyn(s) (rotational repeaters) 
'repeat' the bridge commands, and not only to the engine room.
Just another use of the Sperry-Rand technology.  

Now the important question;  anyone on the list have any selsyns
(synchros, resolvers, repeaters) they would rather send to me than
to the landfill?  Three-phase, 5 - 250 volt, 50 - 400 Hz,  preferred.  
If you have any 115 volt 60 Hz larger units, DON'T think of me...those
are far to big (and valuable) for my purposes.  Thanks all.
