I believe that I have run into this problem a long long time ago in a
distant Teletype Shop, aboard a ship which now reposes at the bottom
of the Atlantic.... Please be patient and allow me to examine my manuals
and reset my brain, which, at the moment is suffering from
"senior distortion dropout" --hi---....

Once I ck the manuals and orient myself, I should be able to come up
with the answer and fix for the problem (It will involve some
disassembly and cleaning, followed by some retiming of the geartrain, so
be prepared for serious cussin' . I believe that the drive train
to the typewheel has jumped a tooth or so, as has the geartrain to the
punches......there even may be broken gear teeth requiring replacement.

Now, I could be 100% wrong, as I am troubleshooting this reperf without
even looking at it, so don't take my word at face value, but I still
am gonna study the manual and reaquaint myself with the typing/punching
sequence and "What can go wrong".......Ya know these things rarely
break, most of the time, they require only minimal maintenance, and that
on the punches themselves and cleaning of the typewheel which gets
solidly clogged with ink residue. Anyhow, It will give me a few happy
hours immersed in my M28ASR manual, which includes the reperf
unit......it will also give me a chance to reaquaint my mind with the
innards of said reperf after some years of inactivity --hi--

Thanks for bringing this problem to the Greenkeys bunch, I enjoy a
challenge....
