are fairly 'modular' in that several options were available as plug-in
'daughter boards'....
Also, my 1000T is a 'Tempest' unit - set up to lessen the chances of it
being 'detected' or it's data 'snooped' by tuning into it's emissions.
You can also the Tempest units because they have a 3-pin Amphenol
connector for the mains power.
Another feature of the "T" models is (IIRC) they do not have the 60ma
loop keying circuits - the output is digital logic level and must be
applied to the appropriate "keyer" in the local loop of a mechanical
Teletype machine in order to print the converted input signals.
And there's lots more - but you have to be a bit specific -
