Further to the recent discussion on the model of teleprinter used on the 
US-Russian hotline, a friend found the picture below in the archive.

The caption reads:

Major A.C Gilden, Army Signal Corps, explains the details of to T-51 
Teleprinter at the Pentagon. The Moscow-Washington 'hot-line' is 
intended to help avert nuclear war and is for the exclusive use of the 
heads of Government - 29.08.1963.
