Bob,

The connector strips are unlabeled, as a modulator or demodulator card may
be associated with either connector.

Modulator Connections:
1 - High level input (-)
2 - High level input (+)
3 - N.C.
4 - N.C.
5 - Mark freq. out
6 - Space freq. out
7 - Low level input (188C in)
8 - N.C.
9 - Balanced output (fsk)
10 - Balanced output (fsk)
11 - Ground (188C)
12 - Ground

Demod Connections:
1 - N.C.
2 - N.C.
3 - Data Mid-Bit Sample (rx/tx clock)
4 - N.C
5 - Undetected Mark
6 - Undetected Space
7 - Data Out RS-232-C
8 - Data Out MIL-188-C
9 - Balanced audio input (fsk)
10 - Balanced audio input (fsk)
11 - Ground (data return)
12 - Ground (clock return)

To determine what sort of card you have behind the connector, you gotta pop
the top and look inside. Some recently sold 1280's come with two demod
cards.

73s,
Steve KA4RSZ
