Gil,

I am getting the messages on nadcomm now so you do not have to open
up mchsi.com...

The half inch tape is for a certain type of cash register and some of
the newer pen registers. It might have also been used on the Morse
printer but I am not sure about that.

The 2B in my experience can use either the 5/16 or 3/8 wide paper
tape. However I am really not sure about this either. I will have
to go measure the unit I picked up.

In any case I could use a roll of 3/8" for the museums Model 31.
Very nice of you to offer. I get many requests but few offers ;-)

Don

I have a 2B on the way as well -- I believe it was John Sheetz'
machine, as I got it from the ebay seller who handled his stuff.

Anyway, if you need 3/8" tape, I have some extra I can send you (I
got some of it from Jack along with a 3/8" M31). Send me your
current address.

If you need the 5/16 tape, I can't help you. I only have a small
amount for my other M31, which is the 5/16" Western Union design.
This tape is very rare.

I'm not sure what tape size the 2B needs, or whether it came in
different tape sizes -- anyone know?

I also have a couple of rolls of 1/2" tape -- anyone know what that
might fit?

gil
