[GreenKeys] Auto Start Units?

Not sure just what you mean by an auto start unit.

One way of operating is to have a code that stops the motors on the
machines, and they start when there is a momentary break on the line.
In the 28s there is a stuntbox contact that will operate on FIGS H
or FIGS BLANK H and there is a latching relay that this operates.
Another winding on the relay is in series with the signal line and
trips when the line current is momentarily interrupted. There is
a mechanism for the Model 15 that does something similar, using
upper case H to latch the contact open and an arm off the selector
magnet armature to release the latch.

Another way of operating is to have the TTY motors stop when the line
is idle for a while, and start on a momentary line interruption.
The 28s had a timer that involved a couple of gears so that it took
a while for both of them to reach the same position and that operated
the cutoff. I've never seen one of these but there are pictures in
the parts book. And somebody recently was talking about a third-party
item that does this kind of operation.

Then there is a scheme where the line polarity is reversed to
turn the motors on and off.
