Hey Guys;

I guess the FCC is following in the foot steps of the
educational system: raise the IQs of everyone by
dumbing-up the tests. i.e. drop the code and the ranks
will swell.

Now Amateur Radio will be "CB minus 1". When the theory is
removed there will be no difference.

And, as was pointed out, the "Amateur" should be dropped
because (almost) no one has the ability to build anything
anymore. Oh - I know: instead of "Amateur Radio" it could
be renamed to a more accurate title of "Appliance Runner".

And the ARRL could stand for "Appliance Radio - Really Lazy".

On the bright side:

  o There will be more hams. That helps keeps the bands safer
    from being pillaged.

  o They won't be on cw.


Then again, think of all the new glass operators...
