Hi Tom,

I know there were options like that, it's going to be a function lever 
in the "stunt box" on the underside of the typing unit in the middle, 
you will see a group of  levers that are pressed against the code bars, 
and actuate things when the bars line up like the "BELL", CR, LF, 
FF,LTRS & FIGS functions.

I think the reason for this function, was from a SXS switch, there is no 
way to generate the "FIGS" character, so it always must be "FIGS"
...Orrrrr, what  John just suggested!
