I have two Flesher 170's and they work just about as good as my ST-6's.
I use one to drive my Model 19 & 32 for daily ITTY copying also. They also
have a good loop supply built in. You can get them cheap.

Several people have told me that the Flesher units are not worth
Fooling with. I have one I bought on eBay for $9.00 and have never
Tried to use it.
The Dovetrons are about the best TUs out there but the Tempest
Version has no high voltage loop supply. You need a separate circuit
To convert the low level mil interface to a loop.
If I were you I would look for a MPC-1000C or 1000R or 1000CR. If
You can't find one of those the HAL ST-6 and ST-6000 both have high
Voltage loop supplies built in.
I have a spare HAL ST-5000 but I do not know if it has a built in
Supply. I will look in the manual and let you know.

HI
I was wondering if any one could let me know if this would be a good
Unit to buy to hook up to a teletype machine
To receive rtty. I have a Flesher Corporation TU-300 that I am
Currently trying to get adjusted. So far I have tried to get
RY RY and keep getting TTTT. The up side is that I finally got one of
These to peck out something. So I look at this a
Positive thing. I have read that some are using Dovetron units but I
Do not know what the difference in them are. I
Am waiting on a couple of books and have read some of the manuals
That I have but they do not cover this.
Any help for a newbie will be appreciated.
Thanks
Gerald
