To All ITTY Participants - - -

You may have observed that ITTY has been somewhat cantankerous the
past few days.

The reason for this obstreperous behavior has been that Bill, K7TTY,
has been hammering out improvements to the ITTY software such that we
are eliminating much of the crapola-type spam that has been
infiltrating the system and causing us to explore in wonder and
bewilderment why we are not satisfied with our penises and need c i a
l i s or V i a g r a in order to be better off in this world. (The
filter would have nailed this message had the letters not been spaced
out).

We now have a system wherein we can eliminate up to 500 badwords
which can be found in the junk that pours forth from the internet,
which is sent to ITTY by the mindless servers at DFW.NATIONWIDE.NET.

Whats more, we can update the junk list file instantaneously, so that
as soon as another undesirable word, phrase, or even a whole sentence
becomes evident we can with a few strokes on the keyboard add that
puppy to the Badwords List.

What's more, we can watch the log in realtime and see when the
various messages come in, and view the source IP of the items. This
is a real sweet system to operate. The stories are now identified by
the subject line, as opposed to a multi-digit number which represents
the number of hours, minutes, and seconds since Ben Franklin got
zapped while stupidly flying his kite in a lightning storm.

I would like to publicly thank Bill Bytheway, K7TTY, for his
absolutely amazing "Instant Software While You Wait" efforts. Mel
brooks in several of his movies emphasized that "It's Good to be the
King", and when it comes to writing code, I think Bill is indeed, "Da
King".

Thanks so much, Bill....

Onward and upward,

George - W7TTY - ITTY Central in Sequim, Washington, USA
