[GreenKeys] Seattle trip, anything good to see?

Radar Electric moved completely out ot Seattle several years ago and
is now
in Bothell, Wa. No more surplus stuff. I was just in there 2 weeks
ago.

Boeing Surplus was always in Kent, Wa. as far as I know. If there
is a branch
in Everett, it would be news to me. Kent is south of Seattle on the
way to Tacoma.

Well I have been here for a lot of years and since Radar Electric
unloaded the BA stuff I have not found much they are still in
business @
168 Western Ave W. Not sure what they have now the last time I was
there they just had new stuff, kits and parts. It put a big crimp
in
the local surplus market here when "they" made them stop scrapping
ships
here unless they did it in a drydock, and that doesn't pay. There
was a
store near the Amtrak station in Tacoma (South of Seattle) but I
haven't
heard from him and last time I went looking for it I was unable to
locate it.

Good luck, if you dig anything up please post it.

Someone who lives around the Seattle area surely remembers this
place...

What happened to the "Old Technology Shop"? They used to be at
7712
Aurora Avenue North, 206/527-2829

I remember going by the place several times, but I could never
get
there when it was open. They had posted hours of:
   12:30 - 6:00, Wed thru Sat, 2:00 - 6:00 Sun but these seemed to
be
'more honored in the breach' etc.

The place always had interesting items on display in the window,
generally 'vintage hi-tech' stuff, like anything from BA Tektronix
o'scopes to Marchant mechanical calculators to slide rules.

Eugene, I hope you enjoy your stay - this place would be well
worth
a visit if it is still there... Does anyone know if the "Old
Technology
Shop" is still in business?
