Seeing the drawing makes me think that I've seen that tube in ham
literature, likely from the 60's, and likely used in some UHF or microwave
converter or the like.
The data sheet is dated 1953 and says:
"The 6280/416B is a planar triode designed for use as an amplifier or
frequency multiplier at frequencies in the order of 4000 megacycles."
