John,

Can you send me Bob's contact info and I'll see if we can get going on this.
It's pretty easy to set up your AFSK output from the TU into MMTTY and log
the data to your hard drive. An editor quickly cleans up any errors and burn
it to a CD. It just takes hours and hours and hours of machine time. I think
I can get four or five going at once.

Cutting tapes is even easier, heck I've let my M14 run all night and found
everything still humming along the next morning.

While storage/exchange on CD is certainly easier. The purist in me says
paper tape should be archived as well. Once this project is done, I'm a little
saddend by the thought that 1,500 RTTY PIX will be so easily obtained. Where
is the challenge in that. And once we all have a copy, there won't be much
reason to exchange them on the air. Of course we can create new PIX
but that is so damn easy now it's not funny. That era has ended....
