You can check with Fred Schmidt and Telemechanics to see if they are
still available. Otherwise I can lend you mine and you can find some
sheet steel and make your own.

Congrats on the new acquisition.
There's a special tool made specifically to de-crud the punch. The part
number is 99947. Here's pic of mine. Not too good, I'm afraid.
It's brass with a small 'handle' soldered to one end. The slot
clears the
sprocket feed.
I'd send this one, but it's the onliest one I have.
Good luck

Subject: [GreenKeys] how to feed paper tape 28 ASR?
Hello all!
I am the now proud owner of a 28 ASR in resplendent condition! (thank
you wa2hwj). While playing around with my new toy, I tried to
"backspace" the paper tape with a red tape b.s. button. It seems I
have completely mangled the tape in the final gate where the holes
actually punch. (Now I think B.S. means something other than
backspace hi!)
Can someone give me the trick how to open that punching gate so I can
clear out the mangled paper and feed through some fresh paper? For
the life of me I couldnt figure it out
Thanks
Eugene
