[GreenKeys] how to feed paper tape 28 ASR?

Hello all!

I am the now proud owner of a 28 ASR in resplendent condition! (thank you wa2hwj).  While playing around with my new toy, I tried to "backspace" the paper tape with a red tape b.s. button. It seems I have completely mangled the tape in the final gate where the holes actually punch.  (Now I think B.S. means something other than backspace hi!)

Can someone give me the trick how to open that punching gate so I can clear out the mangled paper and feed through some fresh paper? For the life of me I couldnt figure it out
