I have a box of motherboards representing everything from the 386 to the
current Pentium. All work, all can be used. Might be well advised to
replace the CMOS batteries.

With all the experimenting going on, I thought i would offer this to the
list should someone want to build a dedicated RTTY terminal using Linux or
their own microsoft os. If more than one person wants them, I think I have
enough to send two nice sets. You pay the postage.

I also have a very nice German Asus TX97 233mmx Pentium II in a screwless
office case. Two legacy slots, four or five PCI slots, one AGP slot, USB &
standard ports; suitable for home office NOT the internet. It has three
internal detachable hard drive carriers, five drive bays plus a top separate
floppy. I have never had a moments problem with it. It was our family
computer until you could no longer use the internet unless you had Norton.
It will run XP fine, has ample memory, a floppy, a cd rom, and three open
bays. very nice powder coated creamy white case. No hard drive for obvious
reasons but this enclosure is so big you can take a lapful of your old
drives and set up raid off a Promise card or whatever. If you are limping
along on a fixed income but can afford shipping, this is available free.
Otherwise offer something in trade. my guess is FedEx Ground shipping would
run $30-40 range for mid-central US or South/southeast US; more for
extremeties.

Finally, I have a spare 17" glass monitor, hi-res type that has both
standard super-vga output cable as well as three BNC inputs for hi-res card
output. Heavy. Free for the shipping if you are on fixed income and this
is larger than what you have. Otherwise offer something in trade.

If you respond, give me a few days to get back to you.

73,

W5JV
