My friends,

My leader and long time friend, Frederick J. (Fred) Kiko has made a
contribution of $10,000.00 to aid our museum. It is being made
through his foundation for San Diego. The funds will not transfer
until the final paper comes from the I.R.S. Contributions are tax
deductible as we still have our tax exempt number. The name change
is just a formality according to the IRS. The problem lies with the
BANK, not the IRS. The bank will not open an account for the San
Diego Computer Museum, of which NADCOMM is a part, until the
paperwork arrives from the IRS. This I presume is part of the
Patriot Act and other federal banking regulations. The paper could
come any day now since it was submitted five months ago, in November
at the latest we are told...

This contribution is wonderful as it will serve as an example for
others to contribute, and stands as a formal underwriting of our
mission and our goals. David Weil is continuing his efforts to
publicize our mission and our needs. Since combining SDCM (formally
CMA) and NADCOMM our organization remains as one of the largest
collection of computer and data communications related equipment in
the world.

Please join me in celebrating this wonderful event. There are
definitely good people in this country, and Fred is one of them. I
would be remiss if I did not also mention that John Poulton, a
Greenkeys list member, has contributed $300. to help with the packing
and moving.

Your friend,
Don
