Hey Eugene;
My e-mail keeps getting bounced by your ISP.
Here's the error message:

Giving up on 64.202.166.12.
Anyway, here's my reply to your question:
Hey Eugene;
You're gonna kick yourself for this, but...
"ESE" is the "dit ditditdit dit" at the end
of a cw QSO.
See - I told you you'd kick yourself!
:-)
A bunch of us have callsigns that end in "ESE", and
since the "dit ditditdit dit" is from the "shave and a haircut"
ditty, the guys decided to call the event a Barber Shop Quartet
thing.
As I mentioned, the guys with the "ESE" suffix are called Barbers,
and the ones working us are called Customers.
This is a QRP group, and just to make it even more fun, one "ESE"
will run 100mw, and is called "The Crewcut Barber" because he's
cut his power all the way down.
73,
W6ESE - tony
