[GreenKeys] 120VDC power supply noise?

based on your suggestion, I took my DVM and tested each diode. My DVM has a diode "mode" and each read "open" when biased in one direction and 80mv biased in the other direction. That seems sensible.

Also checked the ac cap with the DVM and sure enuf, it read 4uf! Now, I dont know whether that changes under stress and when AC is applied. Unfortunately, I don't have a real cap checker (like a sprague or heathkit) all I have is the DVM.

For checking the DC cap, I did notice a different DC voltage using my DVM. 120VDC with cap in place, 110VDC with cap removed.

Any other thoughts?

Eugene
