The re-inkers came from a cache in a bunker on the side of a mountain
in New Mexico about five years ago. It was built by a retired U.S.
Army Major from the Corps of Engineers. He was a collecting maniac.
He never threw ANYTHING away. It took three years for all of the
stuff to be sold or given away from his estate. Five homes filled to
the brim in addition to this bunker. It took us 2 hours to get to
the place, the last half hour in reverse in a 4WD Suburban. The last
re-inker order for the government was filled in 1959 so these items
are rare. I doubt I will find any more. I still have 30 re-inkers
for the Kleinschmidt page printers. All of the rest are gone to good
homes.
