Richard,
Please do not let the machine go to scrap! Model 19s were built
from 1939 to 1953. The Bell System and the U.S. Government were the
main customers, with some also going to Western Union.
The machine is very heavy. It should be moved in modules by someone
who knows what they are doing.
The Classic Computer Museum in San Francisco area might be
interested. Also the Communications Museum in Seattle, Washington
might be interested. OR... The Communications Museum in Albuquerque,
New Mexico.
Our museum may be taken over by the San Diego State University. We
are not sure yet.
