It's a mystery to me. Maybe we can get the buyer to tell us more about it when he gets it. The "scroll" Teletype nameplate seems to date it as before 1960 or so. It looks vaguely military, both the gray color and the toggle switches. But the keyboard doesn't look at all like anything Teletype would do, looks like molded-on keytops.
